Fredda Burton, 69, of Gideon, Mo., formerly of Cooter, Mo., died Friday, June 25, 1999 at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett, Mo.

Born Saturday, December 7, 1929 in Tyler, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Fed Forsythe and Luna Mae Wilson Forsythe. She was also preceded in death by one son, Freddie Neil Burton and one daughter, Linnie Shelton.

Fredda was united in marriage to I.D. Burton on July 2, 1949, in Piggott, Ark. He preceded her in death.

A homemaker, she was of the Baptist faith.

Mrs. Burton leaves two sons: Larry Burton of Gosnell, Ark., and Billy Don Burton of Greenbay Wisc.;
Seven daughters: June Hanchulak of Falls Church, Va., Reda Nichols and Shirley Howell of Steele, Mo., Debra King of Key West, Fla., Jackie Cavitt of Sikeston, Mo., Darla Overton of Cooter, and Peggy Britt of Manila, Ark.;
Four brothers: Charles Forsythe of Bull Shoals, Ark., Fred Forsythe of Fairfield Bay, Ark., Jesse Forsythe of Pueblo, Col., and Hubert Hayes of Chicago, Ill.;
Nineteen grandchildren; and
Eleven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Burton were held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 28, 1999 at Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randy Poole officiating.

Burial was at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele with Bradshaw Funeral Home in charge.

Pallbearers were Jeremy Burton, Curtis Lopez, Ronnie Howell, Rick Cavitt, Leon Cavitt and Andy Overton.
