Louise B. Brown, 88, of Asbury Dr., Bethany Village, Mechanicsburg, passed away Monday, April 15, 2013. She was born June 7, 1924 in Mechanicsburg to the late Calvin and Olive Smith Burtner. Louise graduated from Draper High School in Schenectady, NY. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Mechanicsburg and a Veteran of WWII Army Corps (WAC).
Louise is survived by her husband, Clifford R. Brown; her son, Terry R. (Judy) Brown of Columbia, MD and her daughter; Sue Ann (John) Petry of Clarks Summit, PA. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; a brother, Robert Burtner of Kenneth Square, PA; and a sister, Genevieve Held of San Antonio, Texas.
Relatives and friends are invited to the graveside service in the Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Township, on Thursday, April 18, 2013 at 1:00 PM with Chaplain Brand Eaton officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Cumberland County Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Oaks Skilled Nursing Unit, Development Office of Bethany Village, 325 Wesley Drive, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055 or to Mechanicsburg Area Alumni Assoc. Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 312, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055. Arrangements are being handled by the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 North Baltimore Ave., Mt.
