Mrs. Nancy Catherine Brown, 70, 533 East Leafland avenue, died at 9 a.m. today in St. Mary's hospital where she had been a patient for three weeks.
Born in Fulton county, Oct. 21, 1872, the daughter of James and Caroline Burrows, she moved to Decatur from Maroa in 1903.
A member of the First Church of Christ in Decatur, she was the widow of Thomas M. Brown, whom she married in 1915.
Mrs. Brown leaves one son by a former marriage, William Wall of Decatur. She also leaves three step-sons, Oscar Brown, Oakley; Claude Brown, Maroa, and Orville Brown, Humboldt; two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Padgett, Springfield, and Mrs. Sarah Westbrook, Maroa.
She also leaves two brothers, Sylvester and Ben Burrows, both of Maroa, and three grandchildren.
The body was taken to the Moran & Sons funeral home where friends may call after noon tomorrow.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Morans' chapel with burial in the Texas cemetery near Maroa.
