Bernice C. Burrowes
FORT PIERCE, Fla. – Bernice C. (Krebs) Gingerich Burrowes, 84, of Fort Pierce, Fla., formerly of York, died at 9:45 p.m. Sunday at Tandem Health Care of Vero Beach in Vero Beach, Fla. she was the wife of the late John F. "Ben" Burrowes.
A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Jefferson Cemetery in Codorus. There will be no viewing. The Geiple Funeral Home Inc., 53 Main St., Glen Rock, is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Burrowes was born July 18, 1914, in York. She was the daughter of the late Maurice B. and Hattie V. (Brinkman) Krebs.
She was a secretary at York Shipley Co. in York for many years.
Mrs. Burrowes is survived by two step-sons, Robert Burrowes of Seattle and Norman Burrowes of South Lake Tahoe, Calif.; two step-daughters, Vicki Burrowes of Morristown, N.J., and Lora Burrowes of Reno, Nev.; six step-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.
Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Craig Lantz, pastor of Zion Lutheran Church in Glen Rock.
