WOOSTER -- Kathryn A. Atkinson, 52, of Wooster, passed away Saturday, Feb. 14, 2009, at her home.
She was born Sept. 12, 1956, in Lorain, the daughter of Lindy Earl and Virginia (Thomas) Burrow, and was employed by The College of Wooster in communications and security.
Surviving are her mother of Prentiss, Miss.; a sister, Janet Mattern of Herndon, Va.; brothers, Samuel Burrow and John Burrow, both of Prentiss, Miss.; and nieces and nephews, Christopher Cooke, Jennifer Cooke-Schrum, Tasha Burrow, Alicia Blocker, Christopher Morris, Logan Marie Mattern and Kenton and Hunter.
Kathryn was preceded in death by her father.
Services will be Saturday, Feb. 21, at Saulters-Moore Funeral Home in Prentiss, Miss. (601-792-4229). Interment will follow in Tyrone Cemetery in Prentiss, Miss.
There will be no calling hours. McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster, is assisting the family with arrangements.

WOOSTER — Kathryn Burrow Atkinson, age 52, a Lorain native, passed away suddenly in her home in Wooster, OH on February 14, 2009.
She was born September 12, 1956, in Lorain. She was a 1975 Southview High School graduate. She married Ronald W. Atkinson on October 24, 1980, in Lorain and moved to Ashland, OH where they remained for 17 years.
She was employed for the past 13 years by The College of Wooster in Communications and Security. She was affectionately known as "the voice of Wooster College." She was very dedicated to her job and was depended on by colleagues for her knowledge of the many facets of the security department.
Services were held on February 21 in Prentiss, Miss. where she was laid to rest. She is survived by her mother, Virginia Burrow of Prentiss, Miss., a sister Janet Mattern (Russ), of Herndon, Va. and brothers Sam Burrow (Carmen) and John Burrow (Shelia) of Prentiss. She was also a loving Aunt to Christopher Cooke, Jennifer Cooke Schrum, Tasha Burrow, Christopher Morris, Alicia Burrow Blocker, Logan Marie Mattern, Kenton Blocker and Hunter Schrum. There are also many loving Aunts, Uncles and cousins
Her Father, Lindy E. Burrow preceded her in death in 1987.
