Eleanor Lopez Burrola, 91, of Salinas, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2011. She was born January 25, 1920 in Columbus, New Mexico.

Eleanor was a homemaker. She was a past member of the Salinas Moose Lodge. She loved dancing and Western and Spanish music.

Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband, Frino; and son, Bobby Burrola.

She is survived by her children, Irene (Stan) Peterson, Dottie Burrola, Lupe Tomblinson, Bill (Linda) Burrola, Barbara Watson, Kathy Navales, Molly Messick, Fred (Rosa) Burrola, Steve (Kathy) Burrola; brother, Martin Lopez; sister, Esther Ramirez; 30 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held today, October 5, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., at the Struve and Laporte Chapel, 41 W. San Luis St., Salinas, CA 93901.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, October 6, 2011 at 11:00 a.m., at the Struve and Laporte Chapel.

Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery, 850 Abbott St., Salinas, CA 93901.

Arrangements by Struve and Laporte Chapel.
