Mrs. Essie Brock, 69, of Mount Coal, W. Va., died Saturday at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, W. Va. after a short illness.
She was the daughter of the late George and Susan Burris. She was a member of the Mt. Zion Methodist Church and a willing worker of the Mount Coal Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her husband, Huston Brock; daughter, Mrs. Bronson (Marie) Keneda of Houston, Texas; five brothers, Odue, Emmet, Hope and Luther Burris all of Jacksboro, and Arthur Burris of LaFollette; two grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Mt. Zion Methodist Church by the Rev. Ralph Cline and the Rev. Ogleva Street. Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Martin Funeral Home, LaFollette, was in charge of arrangements.
