Bernice F. Burris 85 of Fayetteville, died September 25, 2014 in Fayetteville.
She was born May 11, 1929 in Collinsville, Oklahoma to Hugh F. and Lucy Nichols Patton.

She retired after over forty years as a hairdresser. Bernice was a member of Buckner Baptist Church and she enjoyed fishing, knitting, quilting and reading.

She was preceded in death by her husband Herman Gene Burris.

She is survived by son, Doug Tipton and wife Cynthia of Waxahachie, Texas, two step daughters, C.J. Burris and Jeanie Burris both of Los Angeles, CA, sister, Lue Bell of Elkins, daughter-in-law, Nancy McCain and husband Gus of Tulsa, OK, five grandchildren, Elizabeth Reed, Alexandria Clouse, Lauren Sons, John McCain and Mark McCain and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, September 29, 2014 at Buckner Baptist Church in Fayetteville with Rev. Larry Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery under the direction of Beard’s Chapel.
