Funeral services for Margruitte Burrell were conducted at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 3, 1996 at the Vase Funeral Chapel, 154 Elk St., Rock Springs. Bishop Ben K. Hansen of the LDS Church conducted the services. Interment was in the Mountain View Cemetery in Rock Springs.
Mrs. Burrell, 82 of Rock Springs, died at 12:50 p.m. Saturday, June 29, 1996 at the Highland Cove Health Center in Salt Lake City where she had been a patient for one day.
A resident of Salt Lake City for the past nine months and former longtime resident of Rock Springs, Mrs. Burrell died following a lengthy illness.
She was born on May 16, 1914 in Gebo the daughter of the late John and Agnes Lynch Wilson. Mrs. Burrell attended schools in Gebo and Thermopolis and married Curtis Burrell in Rock Springs on Sept. 25, 1937. Burrell preceded her in death Sept. 19, 1982.
She was a retired waitress, who worked for the Park Hotel, Howard’s Café, the old Grand Café and the Sands Café, where she was known as “Buckshot.”
She was a member of the Roman Catholic Church.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Rhonda Burrell of Kearny, Ariz.; three daughters, Mrs. Tony (Peggy) Pasin of Orem, Utah, Mrs. Gary (Wilma) Crofts of Layton, Utah, and Ruth Conklin of Salt Lake City; one brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Kennie Wilson of Green River; one sister and brother-in-law, Edith and Frank Pettersen of Glendive, Mont.; 17 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Burrell was preceded in death by one daughter, Charlene Burrell and five brothers and sisters.
