On November 29, 1885, Matilda Armstrong married Alfred Westbrook, a widower who was the uncle of her daughter Laura's husband. Alfred died October 20, 1887. On June 14, 1892, Matilda married another widower, John Burrell. John's wife, Mary, had died on May 4, 1888 leaving her husband and ten children. She died of consumption. John died on June 21, 1917 and was buried in Rocky Fork Cemetery next to his first wife and their four year old daughter, Mary, who had died four years before her mother's death.

Mrs. Matilda Burrell, an aged and life-long resident of this city, died about midnight, Tuesday, in the home of Margaret Warner, near St. Louisville. She was the widow of the late John Burrell and she survived his death of about two years. A good part of the family life of the couple was passed in Eden Township where they are well remembered. Mrs. Burrell was aged eighty-eight years and is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Laura Westbrook and some step-children. Among the latter is Mr. Frank Burrell, the mail carrier.
The funeral cortege will leave the Warner home Thursday morning at ten-thirty o'clock and go to the Rocky Fork Church where services will be held. Rev. Mr. Cooper of Hanover will officiate and burial in the adjoining cemetery.
