Minnie Doris Anderson, 80, former Coffeyville resident, died on the morning of March 19, 2005, at the Foxwood Springs Living Center in Raymore, MO.

She was born October 11, 1924, in McKeesport, PA, to Herman
Theodore and Alice Josaphine (Tuxford) Burr. She was born and raised in the McKeesport, PA, area. She was a 1941 graduate of McKeesport High School. She moved to Coffeyville to live with her aunt. She was a 1943 graduate of Coffeyville Community College.

On September 9, 1946, she married Jack William Anderson in Coffeyville. They lived in several other areas including Phillipsburg, Kansas, Kansas City, MO, and following Jack's retirement they moved to Mesa, AZ. He preceded her in death September of 1992.

Memberships include past member of Order of Eastern Star Chapter #112, First Christian Church all of Coffeyville, other memberships include East Mesa Christian Church in Mesa, AZ, where she served as an Elder and President of the Congregation. Hobbies include involvement in community service as well as her Christian activities. Also knitting, crocheting, bridge club, volunteer librarian were some of her enjoyable activities.

Survivors include son Bill Anderson, Kansas City, MO; five grandchildren; two great-grandsons; brother Gary Burr, Coffeyville; sister Carol Ann Padgett, Coffeyville. She was also preceded in death by son David Lee Anderson, brothers DeWayne Burr and Theodore Burr; and sister Jeannie Burr.

Calling hours will be 1-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 23 at Penwell Gabel Ford, Wulf, Bruns Chapel, 2405 Woodland Ave., Coffeyville. Graveside services 10 a.m. Thursday, March 24 at Penwell-Gabel Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to the First Christian Church of Coffeyville c/o the funeral home.
