Eugene Herman Buro, 80, of Lubbock passed away on Wednesday August 24, 2011. He was born July 9, 1931 to Emil Otto and Helene Zuhlke in Riesel, Texas. He served in the United States Army as a Technical Sergeant. In 1955, he married Marguerite Belty and moved to New Jersey.

He worked as a shift engineer for Tennaco Chemicals for 24 years before moving to Lubbock in 1985. In Lubbock, he was employed by Builders Square for several years. He was a member of Christ the King Cathedral. Eugene was a resident at Garrison Geriatric Care Center.

Survivors include a son, Brian Eugene Buro of Lubbock and a sister, Helen Terrell of San Antonio, Texas.

Services will be held in Sanders Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at 1 p.m. Following will be interment at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Alzheimer's Association, Panhandle Chapter, 2200 West Seventh Street, Amarillo, TX 79106.
