Graveside services for Ruby Burns Boyce, 86, of Lubbock will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Englewood Cemetery with Ken Horn, Vista Care Family Hospice, officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Englunds Funeral Service.

She died Friday, June 9, 2000, in Bender Terrace Care Center.

She was born June 10, 1913, in Clovis, N.M. She moved to the Posey community in 1920. She graduated from Slaton High School in 1930. She married N.R. "Shorty" Boyce on Dec. 23, 1931, in Lubbock. He died Jan. 18, 1990. They farmed in the Posey community until their retirement in 1965, when they moved to Lubbock.

She was a member of Westview Baptist Church in Slaton and Southcrest Baptist Church in Lubbock.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Bonnie Butler on May 27, 1999, and a granddaughter, Michelle Sparkman.

Survivors include her daughter, Marilyn Wiley of Tomball; two sisters, Bea Joplin of Wolfforth and Minnie Lee Slone of Amarillo; three grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
