Charles Junior Burns, 48, of Cooter, died Jan. 12, 1992 at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett. Born Sept 19, 1943 in Heber Springs, Ark., he was the son of Major Stanley and Lydia Mae Bettis Burns. He was a truck driver, a member of Tyler Baptist Church and a Vietnam War veteran. He was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Dennis Burns and a sister, Margurite Hagerty.
He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Lydia Mae Burns of Cooter; And two sisters, Maxine King of Hope, Ark., and Edna Garcia of Chicago.
Services were Jan. 14 at 2 p.m. at Bradshaw German-Aumon Funeral Home chapel in Steele, the Rev. Matt Corkran officiating, with burial in Mitchell Number 8 Cemetery.
