They lived first on a farm adjoining that of Sylvester’s (John Sylvester Burns) father. They moved from there to Ashland, Ohio, and then to Boone, Iowa.
Mrs. Burns died Feb. 10, 1893, at the home of a daughter, Nettie Burns Smith, in Bloomingdale, Michigan. Mr. Burns died September 14, 1900, at the home of another daughter, Kate Burns James, in Denver, Colo.
