A grave side funeral service will be conducted at Centuries Memorial Cemetery, 8801 Mansfield Rd., Shreveport, La., on Saturday , February 16th at 2:00 PM for Mildred Pace, a long time resident of Shreveport.
She was living close to her daughter in Houston, Texas when she fell and broke her hip in early January. After a lengthy hospital stay, she died of complications following the injury.
Mildred was born January 1, 1911 in Bowie county, Texas, the daughter of Willie & Effie Burnham of Caddo Parish, Louisiana.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Newton Pace, 3 sisters, and 1 brother.
She is survived by 1 son, Merlin & Virginia Pace of White Oak Georgia, 1 daughter, Daryle & Marie Elliott of Houston, TX, 3 grandchildren, 7 great grand-children, 3 great, great grandchildren, and 1 nephew, Earl Newton Greer.
