Cleta was born on January 12, 1918, in Kingston, Missouri, to Charley and Bertha Marlatt Burnett. She had attended business college in Kansas City, Missouri., and had been employed as a secretary and accuntant for the War Production Board in Washington, D.C., from 1941-1945. She then worked at Nichols Wire and Aluminum Co. in Davenport, Iowa, from 1945-1968, then retired from the Internal Revenue service in Kansas City, Missouri, where she worked from 1969-1978.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother James; and a great-nephew, Charles.
Survivors: Sister, Jennie May Burnett, Cameron,; Niece, Alice (Roger) Mattern, Grand Forks, North Dakota; Nephew, Paul (Elinor) Burnett, Hamilton, Missouri; and numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral Services: 10 a.m., Saturday, June 28, 2008, at Bram Funeral Home, Hamilton, Visitation: 7-8 p.m., June 27, at the funeral home. Interment: Mirabile Cemetery, Mirabile.
