Died during the Revolutionary War

Edward was a captain and one of four sons of Aaron Burleson & Sarah Camp Burleson who died during the Revolutionary War. Seven sons fought against the British in the American Revolution War and only three of them survived.

CAPT. EDWARD BURLESON, b. Bet. 1724 - 1754, Possibly North Carolina; d. Bet. 1775 - 1783, Revolutionary War.

Edward was a Captain and was caught and killed by the British and Tory Sympathizers when he was on his way to be married. So the story goes.
