William P. Burkholder, 53, of Garrett RD 1, died suddenly Friday while being taken to Meyersdale Community Hospital. He was born October 25, 1899, in Summit Township and was the son of the late Cornelius and Lydia Cross Burkholder. Mr. Burkholder is surived by his wife, Norma, and two daughters: Mrs. Phyllis Pletcher of Cleveland, OH., and Nancy at home. Also by these brothers and sister: John and Noah, both of Garrett and Mrs. Idella O'Hara of McKeesport. Services were conducted Monday Afternoon at 2 p.m. at the Konhaus Funeral Home, Meyersdale, and in the Center Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Glenn Keidel officiating. Interment in the church cemetery. Mr. Burkholder was a member of the Railroad Maintenance of Ways Brotherhood.
