Services for Beulah Burkhart Alagood, 95, of Marietta were Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the Eastside Baptist Church with Dr. Alton Fannin officiating.

Mrs. Alagood ws a homemaker, a diligent friend who helped the victims of local house fires by providing clothing and an easy meal for the numerous hobos who passed through Marietta during the 50's.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Marietta and active in the WMU. Mrs. Alagood enjoyed sewing, gardening, crocheting, quilting, dominoes and crossword puzzles.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Milas and Connie Alagood of Oklahoma City and Robert and Margaret Alagood of Denton, Texas; a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Una and Neal Hardin of Norman; three brothers, George Van Burkhart and W.B. "Bunch" Burkhart of Marietta and Ira Melton Burkhart of Fort Worth, Texas; a daughter-in-law, Thela Alagood of Little Rock, Arkansas; eight grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
