Nancy Evelyn Woods, 58, of Siloam Springs, Ark., passed away Monday, March 28, 2011 in Siloam Springs. She was at home on hospice care with her family by her side as a result of liver cancer. She was born February 7, 1953, in Fairbanks, Alaska. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her sister, Joni Messer and granddaughter, Courtney Mattler. To know Nancy was to love her. She had a smile that was contagious. She was close to her family and friends and always lent kind words and an open ear to anyone around her. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, Bo, over the road on the truck for his work. She saw all lower 48 states with Bo, often taking time to stop and enjoy sites like lighthouses and beaches, of which she was fond. Many of those trips were shared with Jake, her beloved Yorkshire terrier, who she adored. She showed her love and talent to everyone through her painting and crafts, which she shared freely. Nancy is survived by her husband, Harry "Bo" Woods, of Siloam Springs, Ark.; her mother, Edna Messer, of Siloam Springs; her father, Eugene "Joe" Burgos of Goodman, Missouri; her daughter, Laura Harrison, of Siloam Springs; her son, Billy Mattler, of Bentonville, Ark.; her step-daughter, Jolenna Woods, of Springdale, Ark.; her brother, Eugene Burgos, of Lake Arthur, N.M.; her sister, Connie Smart, of Cameron, N.C.; her brother, Jeffrey Burgos and wife Dixie, of Evansville, Ark.; her brother, Todd Messer, of Prairie Grove, Ark.; and her grandchildren, Robert "Bubba" King, Cheyenne King, Andrew Ebsen and Jacob Mattler; and countless close friends and loved ones. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2011, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Hart Funeral Home in Westville, Oklahoma. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 1, 2011 in the Chapel of Hart Funeral Home in Westville, Oklahoma, with Minister Paul Young officiating.
