MRS. AARON BURGETT
Mrs. Dora Burgett, wife of Aaron Burgett, of near Oakley, passed away at the hospital in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, on Saturday, September 27, 1924, at the age of *48 years, after a brief illness.**
The remains were brought to the family home and on Sunday afternoon at two o'clock, were laid to rest in the Fletcher cemetery, a brief service being conducted at the grave.
She is survived by her husband and four children, Blanche, Ada, Woodrow and Russell Burgett, and by five brothers and one sister, Chris Cackler of Ottumwa, Pleasant, Aaron, Sam and William Cackler, of near Oakley, and Mrs. Mahala Glass, of Lemmon, South Dakota.

Judged insane, committed to institution at Clarinda, IA; she remained there until transferred 1924 to Mt Pleasant, Henry Co, IA, where she died. Diagnosis: Schizophrenia. Son Woodrow was only 2 yrs old when she was committed; he was 8 yrs old when she died. See his memorial for more information.
Dora's sister Mary Ellen Cackler Sams (1865-1904) and her husband Sylvester Robison Sams both were inmates at Clarinda, Page Co., IA.
