Vera Mae Bishop, daughter of the late Leland and Wilma Jackson Burgess, was born April 5, 1943, in St. Joseph, Mo., and passed away Sunday at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center at the age of 68 years.
She was married to Jerry Bishop on Jan. 9, 2006, in Caruthersville, Mo.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry Bishop of Cardwell; son, Tony (Jennifer) Foster of Round Beach, Ill.; daughters, Traci (Rick) Walls of Paragould and Tina (Brian) Harper of Bonne Terre, Mo.; brother, Joe Burgess of Rector; sisters, Polly Lewis of Aurora, Ill., Kathy Blankenship of Paragould, Donna Burns and Jo Ann Austin, both of Hornersville, Mo., Vicki Burgess of Imboden; Brenda Priest of Arbyrd, Mo., and Patsy Erlander of Compti, La. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, along with many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Leon Burgess, Jerry Don Burgess and Junior Burgess; and sister, Mary Nell Burgess.
