Lucretia passed at her nieces home, Mrs Geo W Cushing, where she had lived for a number of years.
She married Louis Paul Grangent 28 Dec 1854 and lost him in 1891 while he was traveling in Germany.
Before the Civil War, they had a school for girls in the south, but had to leave it all and come North losing much property and land.
She became a member of the National Womens Suffrage Assoc. and worked vigilantly for womens rights. She was well educated and spoke several languages, choosing to learn, for her extensive traveling.
Her 1st marriage to Edwin Horatio Porter only lasted 7 yrs. No children from this marriage.
Per her obit, she was cremated at Mount Auburn.
