Services were held Sunday at the First Methodist Church with burial in Oakwood Cemetery for Samuel Wiley Burdine, 75, retired salesman, who died at his home. A native of Mississippi, he lived in Navarro County for more than fifty years. He had been a steward in the First Methodist Church for more than forty years, and was a member of the choir until ill-health necessitated his retirement. He was an Odd Fellow.
Surviving is his wife of Corsicana.
