Posted by the Asbury Park Press on 02/23/07 CECELIA "CEIL" BURDGE, 82, of HOWELL, died Thursday, Feb. 22, at home. Mrs. Burdge was born in Freehold Township and lived in the Cassville section of Jackson before moving to Howell in 1949. Mrs. Burdge was a homemaker. She also worked as a saleswoman for McCrory's Department Store, Freehold, for several years.
Surviving are her husband of 58 years, George A. Burdge Sr.; a son, George A. Burdge Jr. and his wife Robin of Freehold; a daughter, Jane Kalinauskas and her husband John of Manalapan; two brothers, William Edgar Jr. of Jackson, and George Edgar of Maryland; five sisters, Matilda Webber of Lakewood, Frances Mott of Jackson, Naomi Kennett of Jackson, Geneva Kovacofsky of Lakewood, and Phoebe Crammer of New Egypt, Plumsted Township; three grandchildren, George A. Burdge III, Stephen J. Burdge, and Darren R. Stolz; and six great-grandchildren, Shane Stolz, Dalton Burdge, Savannah Burdge, Sydney Stolz, Garrett Burdge, and Sienna Stolz.
Visiting hours will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Farmingdale.
