Ruth Bargo, age 91, passed away peacefully March 11, 2012 at Windsor House of Champion, Warren, OH, with her children by her side.
Ruth was born April 16, 1920 in Juniata County PA to Vincent M. and Ada (Yingst) Burdge. She graduated from Port Royal High School and began her career as a seamstress. She worked at various garment factories until retiring from Marysville Dress Co., in Marysville, PA.
Ruth married William H. Bargo Sept. 29, 1941 in Academia, PA. They had two children. Ruth enjoyed reading, growing beautiful flowers, watching birds, sewing, quilting and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers George (Clell) and William Burdge, sisters Josephine Henry and Anna Mae Palm.
She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Gregory (Jeanne) Bargo of Harrisburg, PA; daughter Pauline (Ray) Adkins of Warren, OH; grandson Vincent (Sharon) Bargo of Camp Hill, PA; granddaughter Jennifer (Phil Supko) of Marysville PA; granddaughter Tracy (Adam) Hunt of Warren, OH; great-granddaughter Kara Hunt of Warren, OH; sister Virginia Naylor of New Bloomfield, PA; sister Carol Callander of Meadville, PA; and brothers Carson (Edna) Burdge of Mexico, PA and Harry (Mary) Burdge of Iowa Park, TX; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for Ruth will be held at the Jesse H. Geigle Funeral Home, Harrisburg, PA at a date to be determined by the family. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Windsor House at Champion for the kind and compassionate care they provided to Ruth.
If lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to your local Hospice or the charity of your choice .
