Mary Ann Day
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Mary Ann Burdett Day, 23, of Sioux Falls, S.D., formerly of Ogden, died Friday in Sioux Falls from complications following child birth.
She was born Oct. 26, 1949, in Ogden, a daughter of Dr. William G. and Mickey Wedell Burdett.
She was married to Tom L. Day on Aug. 29, 1968, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
She had lived in Ogden all her life, with the exception of the past year when she had lived in Brookings, S.D.
She attended Ogden elementary schools and Ogden High School, and four years at Weber State College. She had taught school at Pioneer Elementary School in 1972. She had been active in the La Dianaeda social club, while attending Weber State.
She was an active member of the Ogden 34th Ward, and had been a counselor in the presidency of the YWMIA and a teacher in the Sunday School, and MIA.
Surviving are her husband, of Sioux Falls; a baby boy, Sioux Falls; her parents, Dr. and Mrs. William G. Burdett, Ogden; one brother, one sister, Dr. William Michael Burdett and Mrs. J. Garn (Catherine) Ford, both of Ogden.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 12 noon at Lindquist and Sons Colonial Chapel with Bishop William L. Collins officiating.
Friends may call at the mortuary Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday prior to services.
Interment will be in the Ogden City Cemetery.
