Born to Martha Margaret Bower and Jim Burdett in Evanston. She graduated from Evanston High School in 1927. On Sept. 7, 1929 she Married Charles Floyd Brown in Evanston. They were the parents of one daughter, Patty. Later sealed in Salt Lake Temple on Oct. 15, 1974. She was a member of the LDS Church and held positions in Primary, Relief Society and Young Women. She was employed by J.C. Pennys for 26 years, retiring in 1974. Thelma was an excellent seamstress. She enjoyed playing pinochle and bridge. She was an active supporter of the senior citizens program. She was also active in the Union Pacific Old Timer's Club. She was preceeded in death by her husband in 1971, her parents, brother Laurance, sisters Lucille and Edna and son-in-law Donnald J. Moon.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia of Mountain View; grandsons, Michael F. (Danette) Moon of Rocksprings and Jim (Ginny) Moon of South Jordan, Utah; and also four great-grandchildren, Alex Eggar, Clarissa, Joshua and Jacob Moon. Services held at Crandall Funeral Home of Evanston.
