Mr. Burden

MOULTON -- John Burden, 64, Rt. 1, Leighton, died Thursday at the residence.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Abbie Baptist Church with Ermon Bain and Hollis N. Kitchens officiating. Burial will follow in Clardy Cemetery, Elliott Funeral Home of Moulton directing.

He is survived by the widow, Mrs. Rosie Burden; eight daughters, Mrs. Bertha Lee Fagan, Florida, Mrs. Hoytt Legg, Moulton, Mrs. Bill Pullen, Hatton, Mrs. Joyce Bennett, Decatur, Mrs. Linda Merrisman, Arkansas, Mrs. David Montgomery, Sheffield, Misses Clista Dina Burden, both of Decatur; a son, Arthur Burden, Callfield, Mo.; three sisters, Mrs. Dewey Richardson, Mrs. Maude Flanagan, Mrs. Hazel Bridges, all of Jasper; two brothers, Rubin Burden, Moulton, Coby Burden, FLorida; 24 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren.

The body will be at the residence until one hour prior to the service when it will be placed in the church. Nephews will serve as bearers.
