Dorothy Burd Fair, 98, passed away Saturday, October 27, 2012, in Kirkland Village.
She was the wife of the late Phillip W. Fair, who died in 1986.
Born in Altoona, PA, she was a daughter of the late William H. and Eleanor (Campbell) Burd.
A graduate of Altoona High School and Oberlin College, she taught pre-school and primary school in Ohio, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, retiring after 23 years in the first grade in the Altoona School District.
Mrs. Fair was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Bethlehem, Bethlehem Garden Club, American Association of University Women and a former volunteer for Meals on Wheels and Westminster Village.
Survivors: Son, Phillip W. Fair and his wife Loretta of Bethlehem; daughters, Mary Fair Auker of Bethlehem and Eleanor Fair Reinhardt and her husband Donald of Plymouth, MA; sister, Nancy Frazier of Denver, CO; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a brother, Howard Burd; and a sister, Eleanor Dilworth.
Services: A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, November 3, 2012 in the chapel of First Presbyterian Church, 2344 Center St., Bethlehem.
