Mrs. Annie Burd Arter, wife of the late Patrick Henry Arter of Duncannon died Saturday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. R. H. Shover at Perdix. She was 65 years old. The deceased was a daughter of Anninas and Sara (Long) Burd, was born at Donnally Mills.
She is survived by her daughter, Ruth, Mrs. Shover, one grandson and two brothers, S. W. Burd, of Newport and Prof. W. H. Burd of Altoona. Funeral services were held at the Shover home Tuesday at 10.30 o'clock with the Rev. Charles R. Beittel, pastor of the Otterbein United Brethren church of Harrisburg officiating. Burial was in the Newport Cemetery. Pallbearers were Earl Bushey, Alfred Ensminger, C. P. Wagner, C. R. Morgan, Bernard and Raymond Benfer.
