Miss Lena M. Burch, age 56, cashier at the Bloomington Limestone Company, died at 11 o'clock this morning at the Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, following an illness of nearly two months.

Miss Burch, who lived at 501 East University street, was widely known in the limestone industry, having worked for the past 33 years in the industry, serving for many years under Harry Johnson in the Chicago-Bloomington Stone Company, which later merged and became part of the Bloomington Limestone. She has been with the latter organization since its formation.

Miss Burch became ill with blood clot in the leg on July 4 and worked only occasionally since that time. She was removed to the Methodist Hospital 17 days ago and gradually her condition became worse. She was a member of the First Christian Church and the Rebecca Lodge.

She is survived by the father, Charles W. Burch, of Bedford; three sisters, Miss Lora Burch, of Bedford; Mrs. Jimmie Smith of Bedford, and Mrs. Daisy Johnson, of Bedford, and three brothers, Paul Burch, of Bloomington; Paris Burch, of Indianapolis, and Audrey Burch, of San Francisco, Cal.

The body was returned from Indianapolis this afternoon to the Day Mortuary, where it will remain until funeral arrangements are completed.

Last services for Miss Lena M. Burch, age 56, widely-known in the stone industry as cashier at the Bloomington Limestone Company, will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Day chapel, with the Rev. George Morris of Bedford in charge. Burial will be in the Clear Creek cemetery.

Miss Burch, who died Wednesday morning at the Methodist hospital, Indianapolis, was a victum of pulmonary embolism. She had been ill since July 4 and was in the hospital 17 days before she died. She was a member of the First Christian church an Rebekah lodge and had been employed in the limestone industry the last 33 years. She lived at 501 East University Street.

Pallbearers will include David G. Wylie, Fletcher King, John Brooking, Loran Mitchell, Glenn Burch and Elmer Burch. Flower bearers will be members of the Rebekah lodge. Mrs. Morris will be in charge of the singing.

The body will remain at the Day mortuary before the funeral, where friends may call.
