Catherine Sarah ?Kitty? Burch of Charlotte Hall, Maryland died at her home on Friday, August 24, 2007. She was 91 years old. Born on April 2, 1916 in Hughesville, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Eva M. and John Marshall Huntington Sr. She has lived in Charlotte Hall for 61 years after coming from Washington, DC. Until her retirement, she owned and operated Kitty?s Beauty Shop in Charlotte Hall. She thoroughly enjoyed doing hair styles and talking with her customers and being with her family. A great love of hers was when her children and family were together to play music and sing. Kitty was of the Roman Catholic faith and attended Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Mechanicsville, MD. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Webster Burch Jr.; granddaughter Christina Cooke; great granddaughters Heather and Kerri Hancock; siblings Ethel Drinks, Maude Hill, Mildred Taylor, Edna Mae Unkle and Jack Huntington. She is survived by her children Lorraine Burch Hancock and her husband Freddie, Barbara A. Cooke, Judith Burch Welch and her husband Phil, Donna Ellis Jarboe and her husband George, Gerald F. Burch and his dear friend Margi Hoffman, Ellen Burch Bowles and her husband Donnie all of Charlotte Hall, MD; siblings Marie Dyson, Charlotte Edwards, Alice Anderson, Agnes Stasch, Robert S. Huntington, Harry B. ?Tucker? Huntington all of Mechanicsville, MD, Charles M. Huntington of Edgewater, MD, James Z. Huntington of Montross, VA, Elizabeth Schetrom, Magdalen Curtin both of Melbourne, FL, Eleanor Castle of Colorado Springs, CO and Lewis B. Huntington of Dunnellon, FL; 21 grandchildren; 51 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren. Visitation on Sunday, August 26, 2007 from 2PM to 6PM with Prayers at 5PM at the Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A. 30195 Three Notch Road Charlotte Hall, MD. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, August 27, 2007 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church 28297 Old Village Road Mechanicsville, MD at 11AM with Father Peter Alliata officiating. Interment to follow at the St. Joseph?s Church Cemetery in Morganza, MD. Pallbearers are Jimmy Rose, Bill Mattingly, Michael Ellis, Michael Gibson, Jerry Burch Jr. and Kip Pulliam.
