BROOKSTON - Anna Pearl Klinkhamer Buntin, 82, of Brookston, died at 5:37 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2004 in St. Mary Healthcare Center, Lafayette. Born Jan. 31, 1921, in Tippecanoe County, she was the daughter of Guy and Edna Deckard Klinkhamer (Watts). She was a 1939 graduate of Brookston High School. Her marriage was to Karl D. Buntin on March 23, 1941 in Lafayette; he survives. Mrs. Buntin was a homemaker. She was a member of Badger Grove Community Baptist Church. She enjoyed bird watching, Purdue University basketball and flowers.
Surviving with her husband are children, Beverly Sheets (husband: Ed) of Monticello, Barbara DeLong (husband: Gary) of Battle Ground, Jack Buntin (wife: Karla) of Wolcott and Jim Buntin (wife: Jamie) of Brookston; and a sister, Rosemary Chamberlain (husband: Don) of Chalmers.
Friends may call 4-8 p.m. today, Jan. 29, 2004, in Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home, Brookston. Services there 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 30, 2004, Pastor Bob Stokes officiating. Interment to follow in Tippecanoe Memory Gardens Cemetery, West Lafayette. Nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren also survive. Preceding her in death is a brother Melvin Klinkhamer. Memorials may be made in her honor to the Badger Grove Community Baptist Church.
