BUNTIN, WILLIAM ERIC
41, known to family as "Bill", and to countless others as "Chef William" passed away on his birthday, Aug. 9, in Charleston, SC at the Medical University of South Carolina. Bill fought a prolonged battle with liver disease. Family and friends were in Charleston to share their love and support of Bill in his final days. He is
survived by his wife, Staley Beth of Charleston; his parents, Joel and Christina; and brother, Joel Thomas, of
Orlando; aunts and uncles Helen and Larry Elliott, Carl and Gail Anderson, Ralph and Jody Young, Warren and Liz Spahr; and cousins Doug and Amy Elliott, Joy Elliott, Erica
Anderson, Jennifer Young, Mark and Leigh Spahr, and Brian and Michelle Spahr. Bill was raised in the Conway area of Orlando and was a
graduate of Boone High School. Early on, Bill decided to pursue a culinary career and was a passionate and
accomplished Chef. He
received a Culinary Arts
degree from Johnson & Wales University in Charleston, SC in 1989 and subsequently a B.S. degree in Food Service
Management in 1992. After graduation Bill worked
in Crans Montana, Switzerland for additional culinary experience, then in various restaurants as an Executive Chef. Most recently, Bill owned
Incredible Edibles Catering and Will E. B's BBQ in
Mooresville, NC. Whatever Bill did, he did with great enthusiasm. He loved sports, particularly his Miami Dolphins, deer hunting with his dad and brother in Georgia, whitewater rafting and camping, and playing golf or disc golf. For over ten years, Bill, Joel T., and great friends, Scott and
Jonathan Angelo had a "brothers" golf tournament whenever Bill returned to
Orlando. Bill's family and friends meant the world to him and there was not a better son, brother or friend. Bill's desire to be an organ donor was honored. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday,
Aug. 17, at 7 p.m. at Pershing Avenue Christian Church, 2000 Pershing Ave., Orlando. In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to consider a donation to Medical University of South Carolina Foundation, 18 Bee St., Charleston, SC 29425 and designate "Transplant Support Fund". - See more at: http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/orlandosentinel/obituary.aspx?pid=131315000#sthash.mmZFwwzD.dpuf
