Death Claims Rish Firm's City Manager
Raymond G. Buntin, 57, of 3513 NW 42, manager of the Oklahoma City office of Hartford Accident and Indemnity Co., died Tuesday in Baptist Memorial Hospital. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Guardian Funeral Home, with burial in the Fairlawn Cemetery at Stillwater, Okla.
He graduated from High School at Glencoe in 1929, and attended Hill's Business University during 1930. He had been employed by the Hartford Insurance Group since Dec. 1, 1930, a total of 37 years, and was regional manager in Oklahoma City at the time of his death. He was a veteran of World War II, and an active member of Hudson Avenue Baptist Church since 1930.
He served on such insurance committees as advisory committee, American Insurance Association; advisory committee, national Bureau of Casualty Underwriters; member of speakers' bureau committee, Oklahoma Capital Stock Insurance Association; governing committee representing National Bureau members for Oklahoma Motor Vehicle Assigned Risk Plan, and member of Honorable Order of the Blue Goose International.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Helen, and a son, Allen, both of the home; a daughter, Mrs. James C. (Carol) Lidsey and grand-daughter Mary Carol Lindsey, both Oklahoma City; his father, Wincer N., and brother Forrest, both Stillwater; a brother, Clarence, Oklahoma City; and four sisters, Mrs. Claud Whitten and Mrs. Fred Simank, both Stillwater; Mrs. John Reeder, Yale; and Mrs. Ed Ault, Chicago.
The family has designated the "Raymond Buntin Memorial" of Hudson Avenue Baptist Church,k 408 NW 30, Oklahoma City, as appropriate for memorials.
