CIVIL WAR VETERAN
Edgar Bundy was born in Fletcher, Miami County, Ohio.
Enlisted October 24, 1861 in Miami, Ohio. Assigned to Company "E" of 71st Regiment Ohio Infantry. He was discharged December 8, 1864 in Nashville, Tennessee. A pension was awarded on Certificate 290,491.
He married May 14, 1868 in Sidney, Ohio per his 1910 application for admittance to the Washington Veterans' Home in Retsil. He did not list his wife's name but did indicate he was then a widower.
Mr. Bundy had lived in Washington State since 1890. He was by occupation a Pasterer and was living in Port Orchard. He became a member of the Veterans' Home on March 23, 1910. Mr. Bundy passed away on June 2nd. He is buried in the G.A.R. cemetery in Seattle.
