Charles was the son of John Ervin & Mary Louise [Hunter] Bumgardner. He died from compllications of scarlet fever.He died in Louden twp, Fayette Co. and was buried at the Welch Cemetery, in Carson Twp.When his parents moved up to Shelby Co. about 1934, they had his grave moved also, and buried at the Myer Cemetery, north of Herrick, Ill.
