When you think of hugs and kisses you think of Margaret Bullock. This woman left a piece of herself with you anytime you left her presence mostly in the form of make up on your shirt from her tight squeezes or on your cheek from her big, wet kisses. She would hug you until you cried mercy and squeezed your cheeks until you cried uncle. However, the one thing you always knew was you were very loved. Margaret Avis Goode Bullock left her final gift with her legacy of love on August 28, 2014 to her two children, her grandchildren, her surviving siblings, and all the friends that adored her, but her spirit will live on forever.

Margaret was known by many names "Snake" from her daddy because of her beautiful eyes, 'Momma" by her children, but her most favorite was "Granny" by her five grandsons that cherished her. There is nothing in this world that was more important to her than her children and her grandchildren; every thought of everyday was spent worrying about them and loving them.

She came from a family of twelve siblings that fought hard and loved even harder. The stories that they tell can go on for hours of the mischief and sassiness that Margaret was part of and all the stories always end in a roar of laughter.

Margaret was an amazing old fashioned Southern cook. She was brought up that you show love to your family by feeding and feeding them well. It was not uncommon for her children to open their door of their homes and find a pot of something that she left for them …. Just because. For someone to have such a gift to make everyone around them feel loved is rare and very special. No one ever doubted her love for them. You can see that legacy of love and of family in the lives of her two children and their families; Scott and Sonya Bullock Case, their two boys Dylan and Conner, and Britt and Dori Bullock, their boys Gavin, Clay and Brayden. She is also survived by her four sisters and three of her brothers and their extended families.

Margaret was preceded in death by the great love of her life, Sam Bullock, who was tragically taken away too soon. We all know Sam was waiting for her at the gates of heaven to take her in his arms to dance again, but this time on the pearly gates. They are reunited once again.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, August 30th, 2014 from 10:00 am-12:00 pm with the service immediately after at 12 pm at DaySpring Community Church, 1100 Business Park, Clinton, MS 39056. Graveside will be immediately after at Lakewood Memorial Park, 6000 Clinton Blvd, Jackson, MS.
