Mr. Buffum was born in Montrose, Pa., and came here 13 years ago from Staten Island, N.Y.
He was a retired security guard for the American Export Co.; and a member of Binghamton Lodge No. 177 F & AM, Binghamton, N.Y.
He is survived by his wife Pearl R.; a son, Carl A., of Tucson, Ariz.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
