He was a native of Momence and had been a resident of Tampa for the past six years.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 13 at 11 a.m. at the chapel of the F.T. Blount Co. Funeral Home. The Rev John Lorton, pastor of the Sulphur Springs Church of God officiated and burial was in Providence cemetery.
Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Carrie L. Buffington of Tampa and an aunt, Mrs. Ada Strouss of Grafton, W. Va.
