She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, William R. Babe Sr., on Aug. 5, 2000; a son, William R. Babe Jr., in 1992; a granddaughter, Kristen Elizabeth Dearborn; a brother, Harry Buettner; and a sister, Emily Hopkins Sandwick.
Survivors include two daughters, Cynthia Dearborn Driscoll (James), of Waterford and Cheryl Babe Reed (Samuel), of Summit Township; a daughter-in-law, Alice Babe of Erie; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
