OBITUARY:
ELMER G. BUEHLER
Elmer G. Buehler, 90, of Elgin, died Friday, July 24, in Preovena St. Joseph Hospital.
He was born June 21, 1908 in Elgin, the son of Carl and Louise Platt Buehler.
He was a graduate of Elgin High School in 1926. He then attended Northwestern University receiving a degree in Accounting. He was a partner in the accounting firm of Buehler and Kautt in Elgin and Chicago until retiring.
He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church of Elgin, and member and Past President of the Golden K Kiwanis Club of Elgin.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Walter Buehler, two sons, Carl (Rebecca) Buehler of Fishers, Indiana and Douglas Buehler of Elgin; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a sister, Lillian Peterson of Chicago; and a step grandson, Scott D. Bailey of Salt Lake City, Utah.
He was preceeded in death by his parents; his first wife, Helen Young Buehler; two sons, Elmer Robert Buehler and David L. Buehler; two brothers, Carl and Henry Buehler; and a sister, Marie Buehler.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1 pm. at the Laird Funeral Home with the Rev. Kathleen Hendricks officiating. Burial will be in Bluff City Cemetery.
Friends may call in the Laird Funeral Home on Monday from 4 to 8 pm.
Memorials may be given to the church or the Apostolic Christian Resthaven Nursing Home.
