JOSEPH A. BUECHE Chesaning

Joseph A. Bueche, age 97, of Chesaning died Sunday evening, July 7, 1985, at the Chesaning Rest Home. Mr. Bueche was a cheese and butter maker at Layton Corners in 1909. In 1911, he came to Chesaning. He sold Ford cars for Chesaning Hardware. In 1925, Mr. Bueche went into the furniture and Hardware business with Fred Gewirtz and, in 1948, he opened his own furniture store. He retired in 1955.

Mr. Bueche was born in Maple Grove Township on Nov. 28, 1884, the son of Adolph and Kathrine (Schneider) Bueche. In 1912, he and Adeline Bauman were married. She died in 1951. His second wife, Florence, whom he married in 1955, died in 1975. Mr. Bueche was the village tresurer for 16 years. a member of Our Lady Church and charter member of the Chesaning K of C.
