Age 99 of Minneapolis passed away on Nov 18, 2014 at Mount Olivet Careview Home. Preceded in death by her parents Mike and Martha Budd who both emigrated from Norway in the 1890s, all 7 of her siblings, 1 niece and 2 nephews. She is survived by 14 nieces and nephews who she credits for her longevity through “visits, keeping her up on things and feeling young”.

Gladyce graduated from H.S. at age 15 and earned degrees from Waldorf College, Lutheran Deaconess School of Nursing in Chicago and Luther College. She taught country school in Iowa; worked as a Nurse in Chicago; taught nursing arts in schools of nursing in Chicago, Kenosha, WI and Swedish Hospital, Mpls; taught Nutrition at Vocational High School Mpls; and owned/operated ‘The Pretty Package’ gift shop at 5454 S. Nicollet which was “her dream job” until age 89.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, November 24th with visitation one hour prior at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 2315 Chicago Ave, Mpls. Interment will be in Rolfe, Iowa.
