Miss Athalie Buckner, of Walterboro, SC, departed this life on the afternoon of November 28, 2012, in Clemson, SC. She was 104.

Miss Buckner was born December 22, 1907, a daughter of the late Perry McPherson Buckner and Marie DuRant Buckner.

She was a retired employee of the Charleston Naval Supply Center, where she was a supervisor for over 38 years, and was member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Walterboro.

Miss Buckner was predeceased by three sisters, Lucille Buckner, Marian Buckner Marshall and Mazie Buckner DeLoach, by a brother Perry McPherson Buckner Jr., and by a nephew Dr. Perry Buckner DeLoach Jr.

She is survived by a niece, Janet DeLoach Strickland, and by two nephews, Dr. C. J. DeLoach Jr. and Perry M. Buckner.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, December 1, 2012, in the Live Oak Cemetery, Walterboro.
