Nancy (BUCKNER) BRADFORD, daughter of Jonathan and Jane {LESTER} BUCKNER, was born November 1, 1845, near Bloomfield. After an illness of about two weeks she died at the home of her son, Luther BRADFORD, on March 20, 1928, aged eighty-two years, four months and twenty days.

The deceased spent her early girlhood near Bloomfield, moving to Owensburg in 1881, where she had since resided.

She was united in marriage to Wm G. BRADFORD on March 27, 1861. To this union was born seven children, six sons and one daughter. Three sons died in infancy and one son, Williard, died at the age of eighteen years, and the daughter, Mrs. Charles GRAHAM, died in 1910, at the age of forty-three years. Her companion, Mr. BRADFORD, died in 1904.

She leaves to mourn their loss, two sons, namely: Claude BRADFORD, of Bedford, and Luther BRADFORD, of Owensburg. Five grandchildren, Von GRAHAM, of Bloomington; Kenneth GRAHAM, of Philadelphia, PA; Webster and Rue BRADFORD, of Bedford, and Mrs. Helen BRUCE at home, who she has raised since two years of age; also two great-grandchildren, namely: Charles Richard GRAHAM and Webster Gail BRADFORD. She also leaves three brothers and one sister{-in-law}, namely: Oliver M. BUCKNER, of Bloomfield; Thos. BUCKNER, of Linton, and Edward BUCKNER, of Richland Township, and Mrs. Sarah E. DOYLE, of Bloomfield, besides a host of other relatives and friends.

She united with the Hicks Presbyterian church in Washington Township at an early age, but later moved her membership to the Methodist Church at Owensburg, of which she was a faithful and willing worker as long as her health permitted.

The funeral was conducted at the home two and one-half miles southwest of Owensburg last Thursday, March 22, at 2 p.m. Rev. J. L. HATFIELD, officiating. Interment in the Owensburg Cemetery.
