Edith Babbs died unexpectedly Tuesday evening, June 1, while she was visiting at the home of her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Max Buckner, at Ashland, Ohio.
Mrs. Babbs' home was at 206 Fairview in Spencer. She was the widow of Raymond Babbs who preceded her in death in 1964.
She was born at Worthington February 14, 1901, the daughter of Henry Buckner and Allie Kent Buckner.
Mrs. Babbs was a member of the Spencer Christian Church, the Naomi Circle of CWF, SWAMS, American Legion Auxiliary and the Braysville Home Demonstration Club.
Mrs. Babbs' mother died last month, April 26.
She is survived by two brothers, Max Buckner of Ashland, Ohio, and Audris Buckner of Downey, California.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the West & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. George Michel officiating.
Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery.
