A Muncie man was killed and two other persons critically injured shortly before midnight Saturday, when their car slammed into the Buck Creek Bridge on Hoyt Avenue. The victim who died early Sunday was identified as Arnold Buckner, l7, R.R.6 (Bethel Pike).
He was born in Portsmouth, Ohio, and moved to Delaware County with his parents 12 years ago. He attended Harrison Twp. Schools and was employed at Ila's Truck Stop, northeast of Muncie, and Stuby Tire Company.
Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John F. Buckner; two sisters, Gloma and Connie; and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Millard Pryor, all of R.R.6.
Services will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at Meeks Mortuary with Rev. Martin, pastor of Parkview Apostolic Church officiating. Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Monay or prior to services Tuesday.
